This week I decided to stick with just one of the two sounds that G can make. We'll learn about the /j/ sound later on this year. Do you see the picture of the goat? The children were excited to see this because of our experience last week!
We practiced writing the letter G on the smartboard and then sorted some uppercase and lowercase G's!
The snack this week was a YUMMY one! And, it coordinated well with our Color Theme too! The children ended up sorting the Goldfish before eating them!
We brainstormed a list of words that begin with the letter G and then the children did some handwriting practice of their own. They also added the G page to their ABC books.
Megan decided to work with the G tub during center time. She is holding the gift!
Studying the letter G was GREAT!
